The All Keys report only gives the last registered user. It is tedious to open each key and then download the registration/product key history information for 350+ license keys we manage. Is there any way to block the first person from registering and using the license again?
#TABLEAU ACTIVATION KEY FREE LICENSE KEY#
I can assign the license key to someone, and then reassign it later due to some reason (non usage, role change etc.).Is there some field in which I can see how many machines the key has been activated in? This will help understand if there is an activation limit issue with the key, rather than the current way where we assign it to user and they get an error to realise that we need to raise it with Tableau Customer Support. Is there any way to check validity of registered email ID, check if its part of the organisation domain etc.? There is no way to ensure that the license key is not misused - usage outside the current organisation/domain, registering with a non-company email ID etc.I find some license keys which were assigned long back to someone but they are no longer visible in the customer portal. Some of my observations and questions based on experience: Trying to get a better understanding and possibly a solution to some of the problems we face. I have read many forum posts, ideas, online help and KB articles with scattered information regarding the license key management but still a lot of unanswered questions. In the process of assigning and auditing the license keys there are many scenarios and questions which have popped up. More detailed question by someone else here Wondering if your organization how do you handle license key management.Įspecially for a large organization have you been able to automate this and how have you done it.
